In line with continued success, the business is in a position to appoint a specification Sales Manager/Business Development Manager who will drive growth across the various revenue streams for the business in greater Belfast and beyond.

The Role:

A new position for the business, you will be tasked with growing existing as well as developing new business. You will have the responsibility for identifying new business opportunities within the specification market segment and be tasked with creating strong long term customer relationships.

The Specification Sales Manager will work autonomously to create a strategy and go after the market as they see fit. They will ideally call upon personal contacts within the interior design, architecture and contractor sectors.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop business with existing and new clients including; designers, architects, building contractors and developers.
  • Promote the businesses unique design and manufacturing service to existing and new clients
  • Identify and exploit market opportunities.
  • Organise regular sales/technical presentations to clients.
  • Liaise closely with marketing, design, production and administration teams to fully develop and exploit sales opportunities
  • Liaise with marketing and sales teams to devise effective marketing strategies and improve existing marketing techniques
  • Set and achieve sales targets
  • Attend sales presentations, networking events and trade exhibitions
  • Formally report to Managing Director at least once a month, to present data with regard to sales won/lost, quotations given, work in progress, competitor activity, sales and business opportunities and other relevant business information
  • Maintain project and company databases.
  • Submit reports to time deadlines.


ESSENTIAL CRITERIA

  • Knowledge and experience of the specification market in relation to a construction-related product or service
  • Full clean driving license
  • IT skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must be self-motivated, organised and have good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively on your own as well as part of a dynamic creative team
  • Ability to problem solve and be creative when dealing with customers and co-workers
  • Demonstrate entrepreneurial capabilities and the ability to win sales
  • Must be flexible to work when and where required



DESIRABLE CRITERIA

  • Design qualification or experience working in a design environment
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • Experience working within the interior specification market.
