What does this Software Testing job involve?
The successful software tester will work in a SCRUM team comprised of five to six developers. You will participate in daily standup meetings and all meetings of the agile SLC: planning, estimation, retrospectives, demos, etc. You will be involved in designing and executing test plans and test cases for user stories, using manual and automated testing techniques and identifying defects. You will collaborate with the QA automation team to build further regression frameworks and test coverage as well as building test environments.
What skills are essential for this job?
To be considered for this Software Tester job you need to have at least 3 years experience. You must have a coding background in PHP, Java, Python, .NET, Perl, Ruby or a similar object-oriented language. You must be comfortable working with relational databases such as SQL. You need to be comfortable at a shell prompt (Unix/Linux experience).
