Software Engineer (Java, C#, JavaScript) – Belfast
Would you class yourself in the top 25% of software developers in Northern Ireland?
A new software house is setting up in Belfast and they only hire the very best.  They have used this approach in the states, and it has been highly effective.
You must be strong in the fundamentals of software development.
You must be proficient in multiple languages as you can quickly learn the next one as it is needed.
But technical skills are just one area in which you must excel.
You must be confident in your approach and be able to stand by your code.  You will have strong communication skills and be able to work well with others.  You need to be humble and recognise what areas you are weak in and address how you will improve.
Their aim is to create an environment in Belfast where ideas are shared and brought to life. It is a place where communication will be open, collaboration will be key and new skills and tech stacks will be there to learn.
Are they asking a lot?  Maybe. But when they are successful, they will have built a software house of the highest calibre.
The benefits to you as a software engineer joining this company is that you will be working with a large, diverse portfolio of clients across multiple sectors utilising the latest technologies.
You will have the opportunity to test yourself by working on different tech stacks and learning new skills such as Golang, Python and more.
You will be joining at the ground floor. Career progression is actively encouraged, and they have paths in place to suit the most ambitious software engineer; Senior, Staff, Senior Staff and Principal levels.
Required Skills and Experience.
You will have 4+ years' experience as a software engineer.  This experience should include working in a multi-person development team, doing code reviews, testing, CI, trunk-based development, and/or other modern software practices. You will have a strong proficiency and in-depth understanding of at least one of the following core languages: Java, C# or JavaScript. You will need experience in RDBMS design and writing SQL queries.
Initially, you will be focused on the hands-on engineering of business-related applications and as such you will need an expert understanding of software engineering best practices such as effective source control, code reviews, daily builds, and automated deployments.
A very competitive salary is on offer including pension (7%), private health and dental, flexible hours and more.
