Senior Quantity Surveyor – Civil Engineering

You're a Senior Quantity Surveyor with an eye on becoming a Commercial Manager.

You want to join a business where your skills, advice, work ethic & input will be truly valued. You will be the sort of person itching to make a difference and join a business that is truly in growth mode... which means that you'll see the career progression that you're craving.

You will work with On Track Technicians, a Lisburn headquartered company built on values, integrity & reputation. As their Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll provide advice & work closely with the Senior Management Team to ensure that they achieve their commercial objectives.

You’ll be involved from tendering, all the way through to final accounts & handover and will be the expert when it comes to contracts. You're the sort of person who is keen to impart their knowledge to the people around you & develop your own succession plan as your career progresses. You'll be a self-starter, and have the autonomy & confidence to implement new systems and processes.

OTT’s Permanent way staff have been a vital resource to Translink and Main Contractors, during all major projects that have been delivered in Northern Ireland over the last 25 years. On the Civils side, they are experienced in delivering:

  • Installation of Strail And Rosehill crossing units.

  • Platform works.

  • Renewal of culverts and head walls.

  • Setup and removal of temporary compounds and car parks.

Long-term, you’ll become a Commercial Manager where you will develop and lead a team of Quantity Surveyors and commercial professionals.

You’ll have Civil Engineering experience and rail experience would be an added bonus but it’s not a pre-requisite as they are happy to train you up (excuse the pun).

You’ll have a degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics, and you’ll probably have 8+ years’ experience (although if you have less experience and feel ready to take on some real commercial responsibility, please feel free to apply).

You'll be paid well - £45,000 - £60,000 DOE and you'll get a good pension, private healthcare, a company vehicle/car allowance, support with your professional development & flexible working. You’ll also work with a business that puts its people first, rewards hard work, and offers real long-term career & professional development.
