What does this .NET job involve?
This is a senior position and the successful candidate will be presented as the role model within the team. You will be asked to train and mentor new team members and junior .NET developers.
Daily you will provide .NET development guidance and support within the delivery and support functions ensuring the development, support and small change teams meet customer requirements and SLA targets. You will only be asked to provide support once a project goes live and deal with any initial teething problems. Once the dust settles the support team will handle all issues and you will move on to another project.
You will also support the business analyst to translate some of the more complex business requirements into a technical specification. You may need to engage with the client directly during this stage. You will then create work packages for allocation to the development, support and small change teams.
Since this is a senior .NET job you will identify the most appropriate methods for solution implementation based on product configuration; the use of third-party components, and integration with software components. You will also promote quality software engineering techniques for all teams. You will also be responsible for the management of applications cases for the Service Desk.
If required, you may have to assist with pre-sales activities that relate to service management for new customers such as tender response and customer presentations.

We are seeking a Senior .NET Developer with at least 5 years commercial experience which must include exposure to enterprise applications. Technical skills must include C#, MVC, N-tier development (WCF, WebAPI), SQL, XML/XSLT and Team Foundation Server (TFS).
It would be beneficial if you have experience providing support to customers while working with remote teams.
