As the company continues its growth momentum, my client now wishes to recruit for a SENIOR HR OFFICER for a maternity cover role with a possibility for a permanent placement within the business post initial contract. 

Based in Dungannon and reporting to the HR Business Partner - Agri NI, The Senior HR Officer will undertake a full range of generalist HR duties in support of the Head of HR.

We expect you to have knowledge of various HR functions. We will want to see a committed and approachable individual and be impressed with your character and skills.

The post holder will be the first point of contact for staff and senior managers looking for employee relations advice, striving to deliver a proactive, efficient HR service to our key stakeholders and will need to feel confident and able to deputise in place of the HR Business Partner.

You will assist with developing, leading and delivering a cohesive Agri HR strategy over a range of HR areas including; employee relations, recruitment, absence management, supporting managers, providing professional advice in all HR policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with all Employment Law and good practice, along with Ethical, safety, poultry and Sox requirements.

The successful candidate will have proven generalist and functional HR background, experience working and providing HR support in a Unionised environment and ability to engage and win the respect of the leaders to successfully influence them on key change initiatives.

Ideally you will have a CIPD or equivalent qualification, to be IT literate – proficient in MS Excel and Word, and HR databases, have good conflict resolution experience and a full driving licence.

Desirable experience working within a multi- site operation and managing HR colleagues.
