PR Senior Account Manager
Corvus is recruiting on behalf of our client based Co. Down, a PR powerhouse, specialising in Corporate and consumer PR, Content Creation, Event Management, Public Affairs, sales promotion, celebrity endorsement and Internal Comms.

The main function of the role:
Pro-active, effective, creative and accountable management of varied client account portfolio; support and development of PR team; new business development.
Our client is a fast-paced, award-winning consultancy, with a reputation for excellence. There currently exists an opportunity for a high-level PR consultant with the capability, flair and passion to manage their varied and extensive consumer and B2B account portfolio, develop their team and support their ambitious growth plans.
Creating Copy – The ideal individual will have a passion for putting pen to paper, having a point to make and conveying it well. Whether it’s a news release, photo caption, advertorial or new business proposal the sought after individual will be enthused to write for all media platforms, old and new, for all audiences, consumer and corporate. The sought after individual will have a clever and compelling way to create writing which is on message.
Being Creative – The appointed person will fit in to a team who know the power of Ideas and have confidence to bring their own to the table also. The team here know how to make a story work, sing, land and make an audience notice and care.
Using great knowledge of Media – Day to day the Account Manager will be picking up the phone to journalists and gaining respect from them. The AM will know how to pitch a story, scope an opportunity or manage an issue. They’ll know who the media are and the media will know them.
Being Social – Networking will be highly important to this individual, digitally and in person. Successful Account Managers come up with great ideas and initiatives, get traction and mobilise audiences and know where, how and whom to place with them.
Seeing things through - Getting results for clients is paramount and top account managers do not hang about. The sought-after person will take ownership of their work and be accountable. They’ll start a project and be able see it through, successfully in a timely fashion.
Being Smart – Commercial astuteness, keen budget management, achieving targets, driving business growth and supporting clients’ business and organisational objectives are the names of the game & the appointed Am will be on top of theirs.
Consulting – communicating daily, with awareness of clients needs and acting as a third arm, intuitively providing solutions to their business.
Being a team player – The sought after KAM will thrive in a team environment, whether managing and supporting junior members, assisting and reposting to senior members and adding to the office by their presence.
- Graduate calibre combining industry related/professional qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role/level.
- Capability to pursue and generate new business.
IT Literate in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- A clear understanding of what makes great PR.
- Excellent Business Acumen.
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to embrace evolving.
- Communication Platforms.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a management position, preferably within a PR agency.
- Communications experience with CIPR pride awards experience
- Business management skills
- Package negotiable and reflective of experience.
