Corvus is exclusively recruiting for a Sales Director to grow a SaaS division of a rapidly expanding, leading energy efficiency business. This is a home-based opportunity, travelling domestically and internationally as needs require. Key clients - Global manufacturers, including food, pharma, energy. As a result of the efficiency of the businesses own in-house software, which collates, interprets and monitors data to adjust  the business has been able to productise their technology and now require a credible commercial professional to develop new business with some of the worlds largest energy consuming businesses, grow a team around them and become a pivotal position in the business for years to come.  


The Role

  • Reporting to CEO the Commercial Director will create the strategy for growth and development of revenue from the in-house SaaS product, targeting enterprise sized businesses across pharmaceutical, oil & gas, FMCG & heavy industry sectors, internationally.
  • Work credibly with key decision makers e.g. Head of Energy, CFO, Engineering Manager, Plant Manager
  • Carry out initial audit scoping scale of opportunity and current systems in place.  
  • Collaborate with analysts and in-house engineering resource to ensure the appropriate configuration of software across all available data points & set expectations around the provision of managed service and returns on investment.
  • Travel as required presenting on the product functionality, previous successes in addition to the human collateral within the business which will ensure a continually optimised service for years to come.
  • Pipeline and forecast effectively across a variety of sales cycles from 3-9 months.
  • Identify resource and build a team to ensure the continued dominance of the market.


The Person

  • + 5 years’ experience selling software to heavy industry/industrial businesses.
  • Previous experience of working with/selling to engineering professionals.
  • Foundation knowledge of building management systems, SCADA & HVAC
  • Strong presentation skills, the experience of developing business at tradeshows and seminars.
  • Enthusiasm to be part of an entrepreneurial team
