This position has arisen as a result of company growth and promotion, as such, you will receive considerable support and comprehensive introduction to your accounts.



The Company

The business ensures the best possible return for their clients when it comes to their inventory and can work with them in a variety of different ways, ensuring efficiency and high performance from their products.

Day to day you will be engaging with division heads of large organisations, MDs, Procurement, and IT managers to identify usage and potential usage of the businesses services with a view to broadening and deepening company spend, and ensuring long-standing business relationships.

Role Responsibilities


  • Day to day management of c) 10-15 key client accounts, equating to over half of the business revenue
  • Manage all relevant data and provide a monthly analysis of accounts, detailing profitability and activity on your accounts.  
  • Ensure the Sales Manager and Directors are fully informed through reports and discussion regarding sales and marketing activity.
  • Identity, profile, analyse and implement new business opportunities in target markets and identify the most appropriate means of entry in each case and quote for additional business/ cross-sell within the existing client accounts.
  • Co-ordinate and follow up on existing leads and generate new leads in an effective and structured manner in line with monthly KPIs and targets. 
  • Devise, develop and deliver service development, promotion, customer care and the companies approach to quality through the presentation of customer feedback and market research.
  • Coordinate facilitate and lead client meetings, conferences calls and site visits.
  • Achieve and maintain successful handover processes with new clients,
  • Arrange, Maintain and notarise accurate diarised paper and computerised records of regular contact with all current and pending clients and all future leads.
  • Assist with after-service queries and investigate customer complaints, ensuring each is dealt with to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Liaise with the sales manager regarding pricing and logistics information with clients and liaise with the Operations Manager to ensure that all orders are handled promptly.




  • Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
  • Liaise with the Sales Manager regarding public relations and promotional activity in order to target markets and develop unique marketing techniques
  • Maintain awareness of market prices of stock
  • Represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
  • Make recommendations to senior management on business development activity and on how the company can improve market analysis.


Essential Criteria


  • 5 GCES’ at C * Above
  • Proven successful record of not less than 3 years in a similar role
  • Demonstrable experience managing customer expectations
  • Fully computer literate
  • Good technical ability
  • Good attention to detail
  • Keeps abreast of market trends
  • Self-motivated.
  • Strong Excel Skills – V lookups, pivot tables.




  • Third level qualification in a sales/marketing or business management discipline.
  • Experience of successfully managing sales staff
  • Experience in marketing to/selling to government & commercial organisations
  • Proven track record of success in independently developing and capitalising on new business opportunities.
  • Understanding of ICT or data industries.
