Junior/Grad Software Tester – Antrim (£22k-£30k)

“Diversity and inclusion sit at the heart of digital growth.”

“The tech sector understands that innovation thrives from diversity of thought.

If you go to TechUK.org, these are the first two sentences you will see, and how true they are.

The demand for a level playing field has created positive momentum for organisations to push the boundaries to support diversity and accessibility for all.

A local tech company has gone even further and has developed a range of technology solutions for inclusive organisations - supporting diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for employees, customers, and website users.

They also developed solutions for the education sector, and they have created smart, inclusive technology that helps people read, write, express their thoughts, and share information more accurately & fluently.

Now from the 8th of March, they have merged with a European group that also develops and provides assistive technology to individuals with reading and writing disabilities.

This deal will enable both companies to bring their products to a wider audience around the world while helping more students benefit from their software.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for testing a range of software products, including web applications, web services, desktop and mobile applications. You’ll get the chance to maintain and run a suite of automated tests for carrying out manual exploratory testing.

You will take part in daily project sprint meetings, give feedback on the progress of testing, and report any issues or impediments to the rest of the project team. You will record bugs and test progress in an Agile project management system.

Skills and Experience

You will have a degree in software engineering or a related discipline.  You will have strong knowledge of software engineering and software testing.  You will have coding skills in either JavaScript or TypeScript.

To achieve the top end of the salary scale you will need 1-2 years of software testing experience in a commercial environment.

My client has one of the best training cultures in the province so full training will be provided around the writing and execution of both manual and automated test cases following Agile workflow methodologies.

Gareth will be in touch soon.
