JavaScript Developer – Antrim

Are you fed up with the traffic as you travel to Belfast?

Would you like to use your JavaScript skills to develop software that helps people with learning difficulties, dyslexia or visual impairments?

Join a local success story that is now a global force.

Everyone needs to be able to understand the world as well as being able to be understood and language is the passport to communication and understanding.  However, literacy isn’t a privilege that we all enjoy equally.

Children struggling to read and write can often lose confidence with life-long consequence.  People with learning difficulties like dyslexia can find everyday tasks frustrating.

This local company believes that everyone deserves to be heard and have created technology that helps people all over the world express themselves with greater confidence and fluency.  They have created software that has genuinely made lives better.

It’s because of this that the company now employs over 170 people across two separate divisions, (Education & Corporate) with offices in Antrim, Boston and Brisbane.

They used to take a more traditional approach to software development and would have used C# and Java exclusively.  However, with the advancement of web technologies as the web browser itself, they have started to incorporate JavaScript more and more.

So, this JavaScript job has been created out of expansion.  They have a backlog of JavaScript projects to work through.  We need a JavaScript developer at least two years’ experience.  This must include experience with one or more of the modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Angular or Vue.  We don’t mind which framework you are familiar with.  You must also have some knowledge of building and consuming REST APIs.

You would be joining a company with a very flat structure.  The CTO sits right alongside other developers creating code.  The working environment is very supportive, and they have a collaborative culture.

You are also encouraged to learn technology that will assist your job and they will be putting programs in place to help you do this.

The benefits you would avail of are also extensive and includes pension, free car parking, bonus, healthcare, flexible working hours, state of the art offices and more.

If all this sounds good, please give me a call/text/WhatsApp on 077 8988 6539 or send an updated CV using the links provided.

Gareth will be in touch as soon as they have reviewed your application.
