THE ROLE:

Corvus is delighted to be working exclusively with our award-winning client that requires an IT Manager to join their team. This is an opportunity to join an award-winning company currently going through a sustained period of growth, the environment is employee-led and whoever is successful in this role will have a real opportunity to shape the IT strategy within the company.

The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems. They will work independently and with third-party suppliers to manage our software implementations and support functions. The successful candidate will have a relevant proven professional record of accomplishment and a detailed knowledge of industry best practice processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES: 

  • Manage information technology and computer systems.
  • Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
  • Manage the implementation of ERP and supporting IT programs.
  • Monitor effectiveness of IT partners.
  • Be the key point of contact for assistance and support for company ERP and business systems.
  • Maintain, support, and develop the company network, PCs, and hardware infrastructure.
  • Evaluating risk, developing network recovery and backup processes
  • Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
  • Develop and ensure compliance to Data and IT Policies and procedures.
  • Build good working relationships across the company 

 

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications and Experience Required:

  • Computing qualification preferable
  • Proven working experience as a IT Manager/ Senior IT Engineer
  • IT Project Experience ERP, BI, Adhoc Projects.
  • Reporting on IT Projects
  • Experience of ERP Software (Kerridge Advantageous) 
  • Experience managing cloud-based infrastructure, administration, and installation.
  • Understanding of computer hardware, cabling installation.
  • Knowledge of Information Security best practices.
  • Proficient with various Microsoft platforms
  • Experience of mapping business processes
  • Working with functional teams to develop IT requirements (Sales, Logistics, Warehousing, Accounts).

  • Manage and work with third-party suppliers and service providers
  • Ability to manage challenging timelines and goals.

Technical/Design skills:

  • Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis, and of computer hardware/software systems.
  • Practical experience with computer networks, network administration.

  • Good report writing skills – clear, concise, and well structured
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

Organizing skills:

  • Ability to plan multiple partners' inputs and requirements to deliver new techniques and solutions.

Teamworking:

  • Ability to relate well to others, and build cooperative and collaborative working relationships, both internally and externally.
