Golang Developer (£50k - £60k)
Are you a big sports or gaming fan?
The next level of audience engagement during live sporting events is setting up shop here in Belfast!
A new platform has been developed that engages viewers through live predictions, polls, competitions over the top of live video broadcasts (including replays and highlights).
Broadcasters can now bring a new level of vibrancy and excitement to their audiences.
I know what your thinking.  Sure, there is no live sport now?
Well, that’s not going to last forever, and the company is about to test the platform with archived video content with a major sporting body.
This is a London-based start-up that is setting up a new development team in Belfast.
The founder is a serial entrepreneur who has led five start-ups from conception to successful businesses.  In the past, he has secured paid partnerships with top sports organisations such as Real Madrid, Chelsea, and Manchester City, so he has the contacts to make this a success.
They already have a full stack developer, DevOps Engineer, UX/UI Engineer, Android Developer and Content Created in place as well as a highly experienced CTO.
They now need a Golang Developer.
You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the REST API (written in Golang).
Ideally, you will have experience with Golang and a background creating and running web APIs.  Experience building high-performance and fault-tolerant cloud-based applications is needed.  A background in DevOps-focused technologies, such as Docker, Terraform and CircleCI would be of benefit but not essential.
The owner believes that the key to success is employing smarter people and then let them do their jobs.
Your ideas will be respected and listened to as the team drives the platform forward.  Not only is a very competitive salary on offer but you will be given equity in the business.
