Aqualla Adamsez are a NI based company with a dedicated team of bathroom specialists operating in a niche market across the UK and Ireland. With impressive and sustained growth over the past decade, they were recently acquired by FM Mattsson Mora Group.  Aqualla Adamsez are now looking to further strengthen their Senior Management Team with the appointment of a General Manager.


General Manager Newtownards £55,000 + Bonus

Having grown over the last two years from 25 employees to over 40 and with a turnover of £10.5m, which is an increase of 85% on last year, Aqualla are a business that are scaling operations whilst retaining what makes them unique – their values and company culture.

This role has been created due to the impressive growth and recent acquisition but also with succession planning as a key focus for the Owner. 


The General Manager will be a born leader and a “people person” with previous managerial experience specifically around organisational change and business transformations. They will be responsible for running all operations across a number of business units, driving growth and profit, working closely with the SMT and the MD as well as maintaining and growing the unique company culture.

This is a varied role and you could be involved in logistics & distribution one day, staff development the next, whilst supporting the MD on the future strategy of the business.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to -

•             Overseeing day-to-day operations across several business units

•             Maintaining budgets and optimize efficiencies and expenses

•             Setting policies and processes

•             Maintaining and grow and positive company culture that align to company values

•             Overseeing recruitment and training of new employees and retention of existing

•             Evaluating and improving operations and financial performance

•             Providing solutions to issues and meet challenges in a positive way

•             Preparing reports and feedback for Board and Senior management


You’ll have previous experience in a senior management role such as General Manager or Operations Manager and demonstrate a strong track record specifically around change management and business transformations.

You will have experience in planning, budgeting, managing KPI’s and have a good knowledge of business process and functions. You’ll be commercially strong with first class people management skills and the ability to build collaborative teams and create an excellent company culture. Qualified with a BSc/ BA in a Business related field; MSc / MA  is desirable.
