Full Stack Developer – Belfast (£30k - £50k)

Do you want to put code into production daily?

Are you a Java or C# Developer who would like to learn JavaScript and develop across the full stack?

This Full Stack Development role will give you the opportunity to do both.

You’ll be working with the following tech stack: Java8, Spring, NodeJs, React, ReactNative, Angular as well as CSS, HTML, Bootstrap, and Handlebars.

You’ll also use some JavaScript modules such as RequireJS, SystemJS, and ES6. The front-end tech includes NPM, Bower, Gulp, Webpack, Babel, etc.

You’ll be joining a very collaborative working environment.  You’ll be treated like an adult due to the flat structure and you’ll have the option of flexible working. More importantly, you’ll be listened to and be encouraged to come up with your own ideas and the work in a team to implement them.  You will be a key influencer within the company.

This job is with a very successful tech start-up.  Although they have just been operating for 3 years, their product is already extremely popular because they’ve targeted a niche area and due to the quality, the speed and the cost savings that their platform provides for its users, they’ve already signed up over 8,000 clients.  The platform is used by major vendors such as Superdrug, Boots, LloydsPharmacy and more.

They have developed a recruitment portal that is aimed at the medical industry which enables them to cover temporary shifts or short-term contracts. This platform has disrupted the traditional recruitment platform by enabling the clients to advertise and fill shifts quickly. You can use this solution via mobile, tablet or desktop hardware.

This platform is already tried and tested but they have big plans moving forward. You would be working on greenfield projects as they are working on a solution for permanent jobs as well as handing holiday request etc. You would also be working on a host of new features for the existing platform.

The development team is expanding rapidly to keep up with demand.  They hired two additional developers this year and they plan to have three more in place by the second quarter in 2020.  They are also building a testing team and introducing a dedicated UX design resource.

Your bonuses will be achievable, and you’ll get share options so you can benefit fully from the company’s overall success.

This job is for an intermediate/senior developer with 3-5 years’ experience. Although the back end is developed in Java, we would welcome applications developers from other disciplines. The CTO was a C# Developer before he joined this company so it’s a possible transition. If you are a Java developer who would like to learn React and React Native for mobile, then this is definitely a job worth considering.
