Tell me more about the role?
As Electrical Design Engineer you will play an instrumental role in the development of new and existing products. You will work from inception to completion seeing the product through its entire life cycle - design, manufacture to on-site construction. You will work in a small established team within a fast paced environment and be highly organised, adept at solving problems and self-motivated.
Develop design or customise electrical control systems and circuits to specifications
Interface with customer engineering teams to gain full understanding of required specification
Work to weekly schedules and budgets as outlined by the Technical Project Manager
Cost/ Value engineer without compromising on quality or performance
Understand and implement ECN's in line with company engineering change process
Test and Evaluate the design to ensure it operates to required standards
Provide support to other departments
Conform to standards, customer requirements and ensure specifications are to industry standards
Is this the role for me?
You will have at least 3 years experience in an electrical/ mechanical design engineer role working in a similar environment. You will likely have a degree in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering or similar and be fully CAD literate. Ideally, you will have some experience in the quarry/crushing industry and some knowledge of AC/ DC powered machines. You will be highly organised with excellent verbal and written communication skills and be keen to join a forward thinking collaborative team. You will be a problem solver offering solutions when setbacks occur sharing best practice and learning from mistakes. You will be interested in working for a progressive employer who highly value and develop their staff.
You will have a full driving licence and be flexible with regard to travel.
