Are you an experienced construction/building services administrator looking to take on more responsibility in a site admin capacity? I'm working exclusively with a leading fit-out company to find them a construction admin gem to be the sole on-site admin on a high-end refurb project in Belfast city centre. The project is likely to run for up to 18 months so this isn't a short-term opportunity.
You'll work really closely with the site manager but you'll also have the support of the office manager who will be remote but always at the other end of the phone if you need any guidance. The work itself will be really varied and extremely busy with up to 100 tradespeople on site at any one time. You'll need to have experience in a similar industry and enjoy the banter that is normal on any construction project. You'll be involved in document control, ensuring that plans are up to date and printed out, assist the site manager and any other visiting managers with day to day admin support, conduct site inductions with sub-contractors and carry out employee questionnaires as well as collating subbies' hours to send to the office manager every week. You'll also keep an eye on office supplies' levels and work with the office manager to make sure all the necessary resources are in place.
You'll have at least one year's experience working in an admin role in construction, civil engineering, building services or a fit-out company and ideally have had some exposure to document control. Experience of dealing with sub-contractors would also be ideal.
As the project has kicked off already, we're looking to get the right person working in the role asap so if you think this sounds like a move you'd be interested in, then get in touch today to avoid missing out.
