Hands up who doesn't like Toy Story? Could you be (Dora the) exploring for your dream role? If you're an experienced sales support/commercial administrator or an FMCG sales professional looking to move into an office based role, you could be hot wheels-ing it in this role.
Before I go any further, apologies if there is any missing punctuation in this advert! We are having a few system gremlins which we hope to have ghostbusted later this week!
So, my client is a really successful local company with global reach but little known outside of the wonderful world of toys, where they are recognised as one the UK's leading manufacturers' agents who supply toy superstores across Ireland and the UK. As well as some trips to GB for toy fair trade shows, you can expect to be kept really busy working in a small team to make sure your clients continue to get the brilliant service they are used to receiving. The role will involve general office administration, processing order forms, welcoming clients to their on-site showroom, updating price lists, handling client queries and analysing commercial trends using MS Excel. As well as the 2 directors, there are 4 other team members and they have all been with the company for over 15 years so obviously, it's a happy and harmonious team. All the staff care as much about the company's success as the directors do and almost treat it like their own enterprise. It's the kind of environment where sleeves are rolled up and everyone pitches in to get work done be that covering for a colleague, making the teas and coffees or getting lunches prepared for visiting clients. If you're a "that's not my responsibility" type of person, this company culture won't be for you. The office hierarchy is flat in structure so career progression as such isn't a thing but you can definitely expect career satisfaction.
As well as a very good salary and potential for bonuses etc once you've cut your teeth, there is free parking even though they are Belfast city centre and it's also a short walk from a train station if you prefer public transport. Hours are nice also at 8.30-4.30 and you'll see the days fly in due to the busy nature of the role. You'll need to have very good administration skills, at least intermediate MS Excel (pivot tables please), really enjoy dealing with clients and being commercially aware. Ideally, you'll have worked in a similar sales support role (FMCG would be brilliant) or you may be a sales professional who is looking to move to an office-based role for personal reasons. Either way, you'll be naturally inquisitive and want to learn the company's business inside out and get to understand their suppliers' and customers' businesses too.
If you think this is your ideal job then hit apply and I'll be in touch asap.
