Client Services Specialist/Manager

Senior support role for major client with local full-service agency

Are you a natural project manager, with a high level of attention to detail - could you operate to quality check the output and effectiveness of the work of one of the largest independent marketing agencies in Belfast? 

Our client, who's grown steadily through the pandemic - in team size & client portfolio is keen to appoint a key point of contact in their business to oversee and approve all monthly reporting, budget monitoring, system and software performance and client satisfaction. 

Through recent business wins there is a considerable account to focus on in the inital stages and the opportunity in the business at large moving forward will be considerable.

The client services specialist will liaise across all departments, focussing on delivering excellence in customer service and experience. A highly organised, confident and methodical individual they will have an active part in assisting the business to ensure that projects run smoothly, client expectations are managed, records and information are kept up to date and in an accessible fashion and that client satisfaction is assured.

The client services specialist will have a responsibility to understand the marketing communications landscape alongside the broader commercial environment and will consider client and agency issues at a strategic level.

A strong understanding of each client’s business and marketing objectives will be key to drive engagement and profitability and to maintain excellence in quality of output.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Projects - Ensuring all activities undertaken are consistent with brand guidelines & and that all agreed programmes are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Manage and Triage Ad Hoc tasks, including ongoing Support and Maintenance and regularly liaising with the client to update on status of maintenance and support requests.
  • Collaborate with client as a key member of the team
  • Alongside client, develop and agree an appropriate communication platform / method and frequency of communications with client
  • Create, complete and manage Documentation (across Platform and Projects) 
  • Complete meticulous Testing (from a user perspective) to ensure functionality, (using design, front end and back end development as required) of work on both a project by project basis, and regular general testing, in line with the SLA
  • Manage R&D Led Projects, including regular briefings and workshops on digital innovation / market trends and specific industry trends to improve web performance 
  • Oversee and improve Quality Assurance 
  • Implement Processes and Systems
  • Ensure Measurement and Adoption of Service Level Agreement (reviewed as required) 
  • Budget tracking
  • Work with the digital marketing team and client to develop and deliver a web optimisation strategy to refine performance both in general and for key target areas aligned with client strategy
  • Regularly deliver website performance analysis and schedule any recommended amendments
  • Chart SEO performance and manage recommendations for improvement, and delivery of those recommendations with wider team where necessary
  • Manage PPC reporting and ensure recommendations are implemented in a regular and timely manner, including (where appropriate) monitoring the landscape for new features and ways to add value 

Experience Required


  • Minimum 2-3 years in a client services executive/management role gained within a 360 Marketing Agency.
  • Very high attention to detail, enjoys process and focus and takes ownership
  • Knowledge of digital marketing and the marketing landscape
  • First hand experience assisting in the delivery of marketing campaigns


  • First-hand experience of assisting with the development of great digital marketing campaigns
  • First-hand experience of assisting with website projects
  • A passion for creative language and eye for grammar and punctuation.
  • Extensive networking skills with a demonstrably strong network
  • Understanding of the competitive agency landscape
