Civil Engineer (Civils Contractors Responsible Engineer)
NI Rail Projects
£45,000 - £55,000 + circa £5k car allowance.
You're a Civil Engineer with an interest in rail.
You feel like you are ready to specialise.
And what's a better sector to specialise in than Rail?
With all the investment both North and South of the border... not to mention HS2 in England - rail experience is a highly valuable asset to any Civil Engineer.
Due to the lack of existing rail experience in NI, the company that you'll work for doesn't expect you to have rail experience (although if you do, please do give me a call), they'll support you to develop that while working for them on rail projects throughout NI.
What you'll do
Be the civils technical contact and liaison with team members, clients and sub-contractors in order to resolve any technical issues.
Manage the people who manage the subcontractors.
you'll prepare Work Package Plans, Task Briefings and Risk Assessments.
Contribute as required to the preparation of budget and Input into programme and resource plan.
What you need
8+ years Civils & Structures experience (Heavy Civils, bridges, tunnels, roads/highways etc). You'll have a recognised engineering degree. You'll be experienced in managing & directing site-based teams.
You'll work 35 hours per week (Mon-Fri), have 27 days holidays + 10 bank & public holidays, get a car allowance, healthcare, pension & plenty of other benefits all while picking up valuable rail experience working alongside a highly talented & experienced team.
Interviews could happen as early as next week and they are currently being held on MS Teams.
