Bid Writer, (M&E/ Facilities Management), Belfast £30-35K+


The Company

Facilities management company in greater Belfast require a Bid Writer with Hard Services FM experience. This company are a leading FM service provider with an established and respected track record.


Tell me more about the role

Working in a friendly and supportive team you will have a passion for writing in a clear and articulate fashion working both independently and as part of a team. You will be involved in researching, coordinating, planning and preparing tenders and Prequalification submissions. 

You will -

  • Provide technical and commercial writing skills, an example of which will include articulating ideas and technical solutions developed by others
  • Objectively review bid submissions and suggest changes/improvements
  • Assist in gaining buy-in from key stakeholders from different business areas to ensure timely input into submissions, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of responses of other team members as may be required to complete a tender submission
  • Manage the editorial process including editing text produced by others
  • Ensure tenders and business proposals meet all relevant specifications and are in line with the most recent research available and best practice.
  • Actively network and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
    • Follow formal systems and governance processes and ensure timely delivery of tasks within strict timescales                                                                                                                                                                               


Is this the role for me?


Ideally, you will be degree qualified or with equivalent experience and demonstrate a capability in writing and preparing professional documentation. You will have an excellent understanding of the business environment and a strong commercial awareness. A strong communicator and presenter you will have a knowledge and experience of the FM sector ideally within the technical hard services side of the business and have experience of preparing bids/tenders within this environment to a high standard.
