AWS/DevOps Engineer (£30k - £40k)

The DevOps Engineer is truly a renaissance person of cloud infrastructure IT services.

The need to hire a DevOps Engineer is usually the result of a dynamic workplace that fully embraces a cloud infrastructure in a dedicated, multi-tenant and hybrid environment.

This statement rings true with this local business.  Their aim is to maintain high levels of availability, performance, and security using a range of AWS services and technologies

If you are a highly experienced DevOps Engineer with a background in working on major enterprise-level systems, then this job is not for you.

It is a job for an ambitious DevOps Engineer who is relatively early in their career and who is looking for a company they can grow and develop with. It’s a real opportunity to make your mark and help a company to get its infrastructure to the next level.

You will be joining a local company that offers a range of software solutions for the public and private sectors.  Recently, they have become more focused on the creation and delivery of a suite of off-the-shelf governance products.

The senior management team takes huge pride in the growth of the business and in building a financially stable and successful company for both employees and customers.

They have built an incredible team and culture over the years.  The whole ethos of the business is founded on a vision and values which forms the basis of all products, services, recruitment, and decision making.|

Like many tech companies, they have seen an increase in business recently as the products they offer become highly sought after.  This requires the company to grow, not only in terms of headcount, but they must expand the server infrastructure of the business to ensure they can meet the demand.

You will need at least 2 years’ experience building and maintaining production systems within the AWS ecosystem (EC2, RDS, S3, ELB, AG, Route 53 etc). You will need to be familiar with configuration management concepts. Experience in administering Linux systems and skills in programming and scripting fundamentals is needed.  Either a certification in AWS or evidence of experience with this technology will do.

Not only is a competitive salary on offer but you will receive a generous annual profit share bonus, 45 days holidays, pension, and the flexibility to work from home.
