The role itself is very much overseeing a team of nine accounts payable people and owning the performance of your team. You’ll be able to identify areas for process improvement and see the bigger picture within the business. You’ll also liaise with managers in other departments regularly and provide regular reports to the directors.
You’ll have at least two years’ experience of managing an AP team, be able to hit deadlines and be able to demonstrate where you’ve implemented process improvements. Experience in the construction sector would be a plus but don’t worry if that’s not your background, it’s just a nice to have!
